The first BoKlok Terraced House unveiled at Gateshead
THE UK’S first ever BoKlok terraced home will be unveiled to the public this week – and £5,000 worth of free incentives are being offered to the first people who snap up the 13 properties on sale.
Developer Live Smart @ Home is launching a new two-bedroom show house on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th January.
There are two types of two-bedroom house on sale, priced at £132,500 and £139,500, as well as a three-bedroom house for £149,500.
In the light of the credit crunch, to further entice buyers, Live Smart @ Home is offering £5,000 worth of incentives, including one year’s gym membership for two people, a family holiday, new bikes for the family, Metro Saver season ticket, garden accessories and furniture and legal fees paid. Incentives are only available to people who reserve on 24th and 25th Jan and complete their purchase before the end of March.
John Hanson, Live Smart @ Home’s Operations Director, said: “We have already had six reservations for the houses and that is before people have even seen the show home, so we expect demand to be high now potential buyers will be able to look around the home.
“The houses will particularly appeal to couples or young families and whilst we acknowledge the credit crunch has made it difficult for our target market to obtain a mortgage, with interest rates falling further and with the incentives we are offering, we are hopeful that all the houses will be sold fairly quickly.”
In total, five apartments have been sold at the St James Village development, seven are being rented and four people are on Live Smart @ Home’s Try Before You Buy scheme, which allows people to rent for six months and then get their rental payments returned at the end of this period, minus a small administration fee, to use as a deposit on a new home. This means there are 20 apartments still available.
Live Smart @ Home, which is the commercial arm of leading affordable housing provider, Home, is building the BoKlok properties in partnership with IKEA.
